An absolute credit to the country. Boasting the magnificent Cliffs of Moher and the Burren National Park. If you leave Ireland without seeing either of these, you have failed as the ultimate tourist.
Although I totally disagree with having to pay €6 EUR for entry to the Cliffs of Moher (just for the car park but how do you walk to this place?), it is an absolute must. Used for filming scenes of Harry Potter, its unique and jaw-dropping background will blow you away…literally. The winds coming from Atlantic Ocean can be frightening to say the least.
Of course the Burren National Park. Approximately 1500 hectares of limestone pavement lives here. Have you ever seen anything like this in your life? I doubt it. Or as Oliver Cromwell put it, “There isn’t a tree to hang a man, water to drown a man nor soil to bury a man”.
If you don’t have a car to navigate these lands, I’m not sure exactly how you will manage. Maybe a tour coach, buy they are only useful for so much.
A little tip: the house that was used for filming ‘The Father Ted’ series is here, possibly the most well-known TV series to come from Ireland. If you tick these off your list. Also Donald Trumps owns a prestigious golf course here, if that’s your thing.
